About Upper Elementary
At the Upper Elementary level, students participate in a variety of individual and group activities, including collaborative projects and community resource use. The curriculum focuses on Math, Language Arts, and Cultural Studies, while also incorporating Music, Art, Spanish, Physical Education, and Creative Movement.
Time management, organization, and goal-setting are emphasized, as students transition from hands-on learning to abstract concepts. With mixed-age groupings, older students act as role models for the younger students, and the younger students help the older students review the material.
Our dedicated educators create a warm, personalized learning environment where students can explore their strengths and interests while mastering key skills in all subjects. As they progress, students also take on leadership roles and participate in community service projects and interactions with other class levels.
