Welcome to Mareas Middle School!
This is the cutting-edge secondary program in the Todos Santos/ Pescadero area, honoring the academic and developmental needs of 7th-9th graders. As students navigate the challenges of this age, we teach in a manner that protects the student’s love of learning while they build confidence in themselves as budding adolescents.
Our curriculum emphasizes math, English, Spanish, science, geography, social studies, art, and physical education. Students engage in individual and group learning throughout the year, and have opportunities for field learning. All of this is done within a mixed-age classroom, one of the hallmarks of Montessori education.
Our incredible teachers are dedicated to the academic success, and personal growth of our secondary students, as they expand their abstract thinking and worldview. Our program has been created to honor the changing needs of this next generation, the future stewards of our planet.
